Jesus is like a pressure cooker!

Blessings all,

Do you feel heavy with burdens and cares? Do you feel like you are sinking deep into depression? Do you often times find your mind wandering? Do you feel like you can’t go on another day filled with heaviness? Do you feel the need to hide and withdraw? If you do let’s get you free today, come on you can do it, today is your day for a miracle so Lets look at these three words and their meanings, they all share a word that we need to do daily,  can you find the word?

OPRESSION – The feeling of being heavily burdened, mentally or physically, by troubles, adverse conditions and anxiety, persecution, hardship, suffering. The condition of being afflicted or tormented, the condition of having something laying heavily on someone’s mind, imagination and heart.

DEPRESSION – A condition of general emotional dejection and withdrawal; sadness greater or more prolonged than that warranted by any objective reason. In a sunken place or part; and area lower than the surrounding surface, gloom, a mental disorder, feelings of inadequacy, inability to concentrate, difficulty in thinking, a significant decrease of increase of appetite and time spent sleeping, hopelessness, sometimes suicidal thoughts or an attempt to commit suicide, a reduction of functional activity, feeling despondent.

SUPRESSION – stoppage of a bodily function or a symptom,  the conscious intentional exclusion from unacceptable desires, thoughts or memories from the mind.

Did you find the word that each of these words share?

PRESS – to move by weight or force in a certain direction or into a certain position to compress or squeeze, to force out by pressure, the bible has many scriptures on the word PRESS. PRESSING BRINGS BLESSINGS.

Judges 16:16 And it came to pass, when she pressed him daily with her words, and urged him, so that his soul was vexed to death.

The King listened to the woman because she was persistent in her pressing, she continued to go to him until he said yes. I dare you to go to Jesus with your petitions this morning. Be persistent, persistence pays off.

Mark 5:27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched His garment.

The woman with the issue of blood pressed her way to Jesus and reached out and just barely touched the hem of Him and was healed. There’s release in just touching the garment of Jesus.

Mark 5:30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that the virtue had gone out of Him, turned Him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?

It was something about this touch that got the very attention of Jesus, His righteous and excellence left His body and went into the woman and dried up her twelve-year sickness. How awesome this must have been for the very goodness of Jesus to be imparted into someone who pressed beyond measure.

Family of God when depression and oppression comes upon us,  make your way to Jesus for He is there suppressing the hands of the enemy and releasing a blessing for our pressing. Think of a pressure cooker, the pot is sealed and it produces steamed heat to make the food cook quicker. So the higher the temperature the greater the blessing, so put the heat on Jesus He can and will come to your rescue. When the cooker is done it makes a whistling sound letting you know  it’s ready but if you open the cooker while its whistling it will blow its top and that’s the kind of blessing you want Jesus to give you, you want Him to blow your mind with His awesomeness.

Scripture for the day: Philippians 3:13-14 (NIV) Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to haven taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God is called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Song: Shackled by a heavy burden, neath a load of guilt and shame, The the hand of Jesus, touched me,  Now I am no longer the same. He touched me Oh He touched me and oh the joy that floods my soul, Something happened and now I know, He touched me and made me whole.

Forever His Servant
