Did you know that fish are attracted to Shiny objects?

Blessings all,

We had the pleasure of teaching middle school students for bible study, Our topic was I’ve got the hook up? We told them the story of the Jesus putting a coin in the mouth of a fish to pay taxes (Matthew 27:17) and we asked the children do any of them fish and what would they do if they casted their fishing poles, nets or rods and caught fish with money in the mouth ? The children had great responses, we were amazed at the answers, questions and great class participation. But I am always impressed and fascinated by the mind of one or two children. Did you know that fish are attracted to shiny objects? Let me share with you all about a young man who truly stood out in our class.

This young man was so engrossed into the story and he had the most amazing answers, this young man could read with scholars, this young man knew the word of God, this young man was not afraid of the gospel of Jesus Christ, this young man though he was different he was accepted by all of his peers, this young mans wisdom and knowledge took my breath away, this young man was respectful to all, this young man raised his hand, this young man waited to be called upon, this young man spoke with confidence and was very articulate, this young mans diction was perfect, this young man could explain himself with no hesitation, this young man was willing to pray, this young many helped in any way that was needed, this young man told us he liked fished but he grew sick of it because that’s all he ate on the fast (now this young man truly had my attention when he spoke of the fast, a 12 or 13-year-old on a fast!! my my my my my!!!!!). This man light was shining!!!!

This young man reminded me of Jesus at the age of twelve years old (Luke 2:46&47) sitting in the temple courts with the teachers, listening to them and asking questions and everyone who heard him was amazed at his understanding. Did you know that fish were attracted to Shiny Objects?

We know for a fact that this young man has learned this from home, we know that his parents have laid a firm foundation of having a relationship with the Lord, we know that prayer is strong in this family’s household, we know that blessings and favor will chase and over take this family, we know that this child has been trained up in the Lord. We strongly feel that this child is a young scholar and a preacher.

We want to let the parents of Christopher Cason know that they have done an awesome job with their young man of God. God is well pleased with you.

Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it!

Isaiah 54:3 All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children.

Deuteronomy 6:7 You shall teach them diligently to your children, and talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, when you lie down and when you rise.

3 John 1:4 I have no greater joy than to hear my children are walking in the truth!

“Christopher Cason” is a fish that is attracted to a “Shiny Object”and that Object is the light of  Jesus!!!

Well done “Calvin (Cooley) and Lydida (Dede) Cason” you deserve the parents of the year award!!!!
