Where is your focus?

Many of us are going through financial struggles, divorces or marital problems, children or spouses facing incarceration, back to back sicknesses and deaths, laid off, fired, cut hours, businesses closing, unemployment denied or not extended, alcoholism, abuse, stress, fatigue, pain, unhappiness, anxiety, ridicule, isolation, evictions, foreclosures, food stamps, aid and social security cases closed or denied, car problems and accidents, people plotting against you, unexplained weight gain or weight loss, lying on you, rebellious children, children failing in school, drugs, homes have been burglarized, unwanted pregnancy, homosexuality, fornication and adultery, run away children, mental disorders, back slidden and so on, we all are facing crisis. 

But are you focusing more on the crisis than you are Christ?

Take time to think about it for a moment……. has your crisis consumed you? Has worrying about whats going to happen made you sick? Is it getting to you mentally & physically? Do you worry more about the problem instead of giving your situation to the problem solver?

Are you focusing more on the crisis than you are Christ?

Here’s some scriptures that support that we are not to worry or be anxious about anything. Proverbs 12:5 Worry weighs a person down; an encouraging word cheers a person up. Philippians 4:6-7 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done….. Matthew 6:25 That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing? 1 Peter 5:7 Give all your cares to God for He cares for you.

God states that He will supply all of our needs, He said never has He seen the righteous forsaken nor his seed begging for bread, He declares that all we need to do is  open up our mouths and ask and it shall be given unto us, He says that He will never leave us nor forsake us, He is Alpha and Omega, the giver of life, He said no good thing will He with hold from us, He told us to bless the Lord O my soul and all that is within us bless His holy name, Bless the Lord O my soul and forget not all of His benefits, God is our doctor, our lawyer, our husband, our groom, our judge, our jury, our mediator, our intercessor, our hope, our redeemer, our Holy one, our greatest inspiration, our handyman, our jack of all trades, He said His promises are yes and Amen, He declares that He is the everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace, the lily of the valley, the Rose of Sharon, our strong tower, our shield and buckler, our joy, our strength, our peace, our fortress, He said He would hide us under His wings, He will protect us, He will avenge, He would give us beauty for our ashes, He declares that weeping may endure for a night but joy o sweet joy will come in the morning, He said we can be weary but faint not, He said He would take us from glory to glory, He wants us to go deeper in Him, He said seek Him while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near, He said if two or three are gathered in His name He is in the midst, He said we will mount up like eagles, He is our Hope, our Promise Keeper, our creator, He want us to not focus on the crisis but to focus on Him.

I dare you to come into His presence today naked but not ashamed and tell Him about your problems and struggles. I promise you He will meet you at your point of need.

Don’t focus on the crisis focus on Christ.
