As tragic as it is Trayvon’s death should join us together and seek God for answers, we must not ever take the law in our hands, many people are taking the scripture and eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth out of context, this scripture means that for every wrong done there should be a compensating measure of justice by a judge and jury, taking revenge is a very bad idea, Trayvon’s death must be thoroughly investigated not vindicated!
Let’s look at some of the things that Jesus said we should do when we are done wrong.
1. Loss of Possessions – If someone wants to sue you and take your tunic, give him your cloak as well
2. Loss of Pride – If someone slaps you offer them the other cheek.
3. Loss of Money – Give to the one who ask and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.
4. Loss of Time – If someone forces you to go a mile go two, do not respond with a vengeful attitude.
So Jesus is telling us to bless those who do us wrong? Where is the logic in this you are probably thinking. The bible clearly tells us that God says that He will recompense.
Psalm 133:1 Behold how good and how pleasant it is for brethren (sisters) to dwell together.
Trayvon Martin died on February 26, 2012, twenty-four days after his birthday his lifeless body lies on the ground of the Twin lakes Subdivision in Sanford, Florida, Trayvon was shot in the chest and died instantly, he was wearing a black hoodie, he had a cellphone, an Arizona Ice Tea and a bag of skittles, I received a revelation on the bag of skittles, skittles have the catchy slogan “taste the rainbow” and have the colors of the rainbow. Look what God says in Genesis 9:13-16 I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between Me and the earth. And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth that the bow shall be seen in the cloud; And I will remember My covenant which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh. And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.
So what this is saying to me is that God has not forgotten, He said He will look upon it and remember the everlasting covenant that He made. There’s a cloud over the sky in Orlando, Florida today and the “RAINBOW” has been found in the bag of skittles.
FOREVER HIS SERVANT,
